Yes, I’m back in Bangkok to get another tailor-made suit! This time, it’s at Alex’s Fashion Tailor, which is just a 3 minutes walk from our hotel and 8 minutes from Platinum Mall. The location is perfect for me because it’s a girls’ trip with my friends, and most of our plans revolve around Pratunam.

1st Day: Choosing of fabric / Colors & Measurement
I always find that the first day is the most important day! Not only do you need to take your time choosing the right color, but you also have to clearly communicate how you want your shirt to be designed and tailored.
For me, choosing the color is always the hardest part! I have to think about which shades suit my skin tone and what kind of occasions I will be wearing it for. Since I’m not working in the banking or property industry where there is a strict professional dress code, I have too many style options and that often gets me stuck!
By the way, if you have designs in mind, please bring along and let the staffs to see! Anyway, thankfully both Vj and Raj were very patient and guiding me to choose the color. So finally I decided to go with light pink.

Really a lot of fabrics to choose from and you also have to choose the fabric inside the clothing so do take your time to choose.
Everyone knows that Bangkok tailor can custom made your tailored suit within 3 days but I suggest fixing your appointment during the day or give yourself extra 1-2 days in case you want to do further adjustment on the 3rd day.
After choosing the fabric, it’s time for measurement!

After measurement, the staffs arranged for day 2 appointment which is around the same time!
2nd Day: Fitting Day
Day 2 is fitting day. I was quite surprised with the outcome and how the color actually suits me because I’m not a fan of pink color. The shirt and pants are good for me, so no adjustment is needed.
But for the vest, I requested it to be a deep V so I can wear it alone for party or event.

The important thing about fitting day is actually fitting the jacket!

Once fitting is done, the next day is the collection day.
3rd Day: Clothes collection
The day to collect clothes is always the most exciting one. Overall, I’m really happy with how the colors and designs turned out. The quality of the clothes is great, and you can really feel the difference in the fabric. Of course, the price also varies depending on the type of fabric you choose.

The clothes are thoughtfully designed with some allowance, so you can bring them back for minor adjustments if you lose or gain a little weight.

3 PC suit jacket plus pant vest from baht 8500 onwards

One Response
“That light pink suit looks absolutely stunning on you, and I love the idea of customizing the vest with a deep V to make it versatile for parties! It’s so helpful to see the 3-day process broken down like this, especially the tip about giving yourself an extra day for final adjustments. I recently shared a post on my blog about packing essentials for a Bangkok ‘girls’ trip’ that would go perfectly with your shopping guide. Thanks for the great recommendation, MissyQiqi
