This is a common breakfast bread seen in Taiwan. It smells very nice and the taste of the meat floss makes it taste even heavenly! The recipe is translated from http://www.sbar.com.cn/caipu/16001177e.

Ingredients

  • 250 g Bread Flour / High Gluten Flour

  • 175 g Milk

  • 75 g Whipping Cream

  • 35 g Sugar

  • 3 g yeast

  • 3 g Salt

  • 20 g Oil (I use shallots oil)

  • 100 g Meat Floss (Pork or Chicken)

  • 50 g Spring Onion

  • 15 g White sesame seeds

  • 1 egg (for egg wash)

  • Cheese (optional)

  • Mayonnaise (optional)

Directions

  • Add in milk, yeast, and sugar. 1min / 37°C / Speed 3
  • Add in flour, whipping cream, and salt. 30secs / Speed 5
  • Set to kneading function for 6 mins.
    Less 2 mins, add in oil.
  • Take out the dough and let it proof for an hour or double the size.
  • Punch out the air and divide the dough into 6 equal parts.
  • Roll into a round shape and proof it for another 15mins.
  • Preheat the oven 160°C
  • Roll the dough into an oval shape and add in the meat floss.
  • Add in meat floss and roll it up into a log shape. Face the sealed part downwards.
  • Place the 6 logs together and proof it till double size.
  • Brush the egg wash on the bread and sprinkle onion, sesame seeds, and cheese (optional) & Mayonnaise (optional)
  • Put inside the oven and bake for 20mins, or till golden brown.
