We all started loving Korea because of K-dramas! My first trip to Korea was during my pageant days, and I later brought my eldest there in 2012. I fell in love with the culture and food almost immediately.
These days, many of us head to Korea for shopping, cafe hopping and aesthetic treatments, but on my recent trip, I really took the time to slow down and enjoy the country properly especially Busan. I love the more relaxed pace there, and of course, the food!

A few things to keep in mind before you go.
Plan By Region
Korea may not look very big, but each region has different vibes and food culture. So do your research properly before heading there!
Check The Altitude
Korea has four very distinct seasons. Winters can be extremely cold, while summers are hot, humid and rainy. Spring and autumn are usually the most comfortable, but temperatures can still vary a lot between day and night, so check the weather before packing.
Most Used Apps
For Korea, it's better to download Naver Map to navigate around the country. And for tax, I download Uber car.
Payment
Cards are widely acceptable in Korea, so no worries on that. But it's good to carry physical cards because sometimes Google Pay or Apple Pay may not work. You can also carry some Korean won for street food and smaller vendors.

Things to Know Before Going
Korean people (especially in Seoul) may come across as unfriendly, but they are not. It's because of their fast-paced lifestyle and culture. They also respect people's personal space. If you are taking video public upclose, it's better to ask permission and it's better to blur their face before uploading to social media.
