[Giveaway] Good Bites @ Bishan – Healthy & Fresh Bowls You Shouldn’t Miss

As people are getting more health-conscious, we will choose healthier eating options when cafe hopping. A lot of people will have the wrong misconception that eating healthy means it’s going to taste plain, expensive and not appetising. Well, Good Bites located at the heart of Bishan Sports Centre, is going to change your perception, including mine too.

Good Bites?
Good Bites is the latest F&B brand under Citrus By The Pool, offering customisable healthy bowls. With the belief that good food can be made healthy AND delicious. Good Bites focuses on homemade recipes and preparation methods that retain and maximise the taste and nutritional value of the food. Customers can create a healthy bowl based on their nutrition goals and preferences.

There are so much yummy dishes to try, but honestly, with my limited space tummy for my growing baby girl, I could only try a few. So sad. 🙁

Let’s see what I have tried!

[Giveaway] Good Bites @ Bishan - Healthy & Fresh Bowls You Shouldn't Miss 1

Lemon Chamomile – S$4.50 / Cool Breeze – $4.50
It is a cold brew tea, so the caffeine level is lower compared to those teas brewed in hot water. Instead of using normal sugar, they use brown sugar which enhances the whole tea flavour and surprisingly not very sweet! The drink is perfect for me because I don’t have sweet tooth.

[Giveaway] Good Bites @ Bishan - Healthy & Fresh Bowls You Shouldn't Miss 2

Smoked Salmon Bowl – S$12.90
This is super light but yet it keeps me full without feeling too heavy. I chose the Lemon Basil Pesto & Sesame Soy for dressing. Both sauces go very well for both the soba noodles and smoked salmon. This is actually a salad dish, but it can actually pass off as a meal with the amount of serving they serve.

You can also customize a healthy bowl based on your nutrition goals and preferences. With 3 portion sizes to choose from – Nom Nom, Munch or Chomp, you can build a bowl from the selection of bases, proteins, supplements, toppings and dressings.

[Giveaway] Good Bites @ Bishan - Healthy & Fresh Bowls You Shouldn't Miss 3

Prawn Aglio Olio – S$10.90
I don’t take spicy food, but my sister told me to give it a try after she tried. Never regret trying! It’s not spicy, in fact, the prawn’s taste is infused into the pasta. You know there are other pastas out there where the flavours of the pasta do not mix with the ingredients. It was a totally separate flavour for the pasta, and the ingredients. But definitely not for this dish. For a seafood lover, I really love how it was cooked, without covering the prawns’ freshness and actually enhancing the whole dish.

[Giveaway] Good Bites @ Bishan - Healthy & Fresh Bowls You Shouldn't Miss 4

Beef Meatball Tomato Paste – S$12.90
Huge handmade meatballs, I would say this is a good price for the generous serving of food. My sister had this, she said the homemade beef balls are very soft and flavourful. The amount of herbs the used are not overpowering that cover the taste of the meatballs.

[Giveaway] Good Bites @ Bishan - Healthy & Fresh Bowls You Shouldn't Miss 5

Cinnamon Apple Crumble – $7.90 (+$2 for ice-cream)
And we ended the meal with cinnamon apple crumble. The portion and the sweetness level is just nice. With it being warm, it was really comforting to our stomach by the end of this meal.

In Summary
Good Bites does change my mindset on eating healthy and yet yummy without feeling the pinch in my wallet. They focus on homemade recipes and preparation methods that retain and maximize the taste and nutritional value of the food.

Initially, I thought they don’t have baby chair, because I feel the food here really suitable for kids! So I checked with Erica, their marketing, she said they have it! I’m so happy upon hearing that, so to my readers with kids, this is the place you should try! The care is very very spacious and surrounded by full-length windows that fill the space with natural light. The café seats up to 60 pax and is available for private events that can accommodate up to 80 pax. One good place to hold your kids full month or birthday party!

Hi, I’m Qiqi. Thanks for stopping by! I started out blogging way back in 2004 about my modeling, pageant and everyday life. I stopped blogging for a period of time as life got busy with career, building my businesses and having my first child in 2011.
