When it comes to school holidays, it is always a headache for parents, so do I! Especially when I’m pregnant and the very last thing I want to do is to go overseas and worry about the heavy luggage and tons of baby and kids stuff to bring! So in order to have the best of both worlds, a staycation plus babymoon at ParkRoyal Hotel Beach Road SINGAPORE it shall be!
Park Royal Hotel At Beach Road had recently refurbished their Superior Room or Deluxe Room, tastefully designed for the family! Besides staying in the hotel to chill and relax like a Queen (or do household chores once you reach home), you can also explore little alleys in Haji Lane with breathtaking murals or take time off to have a walk around Bugis area to experience a different side of life. Trust me, the feeling is different when you are shopping or having a staycation. You tend to appreciate things a little more. The location is so centralised!
The family room is full of cute pushy soft toys which will accompany your child throughout the staycation. If your children can’t bear to leave their new friends, you can even adopt them for a small fee and bring them home with you!
Besides having a designated family room, Park Royal Hotel also understands the needs of parents who wish to unwind themselves, so they have lots of exciting activities for the kids to keep them busy!
Activities include Wii gaming, sand art, face tattoo and Children’s activity circuit in the Fitness Studio.
While the kids are having fun, I’m enjoying my special facial treatment and hubby had his much-needed ‘tuina’ massage, yes they have a male traditional TCM sinseh! In a hotel!
I really appreciate the undisturbed precious 1 hour of peace, knowing that the kids are safe and busy with their activities.
The ladies at the spa were well trained to take care of the needs of a pregnant mother like me. The extra pillow to elevate my legs, ensuring that I’m comfortable with the temperature. Most importantly, the essential oils and products used are suitable for pregnant mothers.
After all the enjoyment and relaxation, it is time for a buffet dinner at Ginger! This is included with the family package!
There is also food decoration for the kids to play to keep them occupied while the adults are busy with the crabs.
Ginger at Park Royal Hotel provides a mixture of local and international cuisine. They have a wide variety of crab dishes like chili crab, herbal crab, black pepper crab etc. Really catered for seafood lovers like me!
3 little monkeys enjoying their food. Baked vegetables to the rescue for the little brother so I do not need to prepare extra food. 😛
After the sumptuous dinner, we went back to the hotel room to have some bonding time and the 2 girls reluctantly went to bed at around 11 pm after having some snacks.
After the kids have slept, finally I can have my me time enjoying the shower, netflix and chill. Do you Netflix is available in the hotel as well? Of course, while enjoying the snacks – cup noodle before sleep. Motherhood is a high activity job. :p With so many snacks provided, you definitely wouldn’t go hungry!
Since this is a family staycation, Park Royal Hotel at Beach Road understands that traveling with kids will have unexpected delays, we need a lot more time to prep compared to other people! So they have a complimentary late check out at 4 pm! So we promised the girls to have a swim after breakfast! Hurray!!
Since, I had a good buffet dinner, their breakfast spread did not disappoint me too! It has a mixture of our local delights and western buffet. They have not forgotten the kids too! There is a section for kids breakfast, and this is amazing! Look at their little corner!
After breakfast, it is finally swimming time! Their pool is divided into kids pool and adult pool, and you get to enjoy the views of the Singapore Flyer and downtown skyline!
Most importantly, they provide floats for the baby and cute little floats for the big kids and adults.
You do not have to bring anything! Not even towels! Just bring your swimwear!
(The hubby loved the gym and the experience so much that he couldn’t bear to leave and almost wanted to extend our stay, haha, but for now, we are definitely thinking of coming back AGAIN!)
